Ministry: Russia's grain yield rise by 25%, harvested 30 mln tns
MOSCOW, Jul 21 (PRIME) – The farmers have already harvested 30 million tonnes of grain during the harvesting campaign, the yield is higher by a quarter compared to the 2021 figures, the Russian Agriculture Ministry said in a statement in the official Telegram channel on Thursday.
“The grain crop has passed the mark of 30 million tonnes. The yields compared to last year are noticeably higher: now it averages 41.7 quintals per hectare (it was 33.3 quintals per hectare),” the statement read.
Russia forecasts its 2022 grain harvest at 130 million tonnes, including a record 87 million tonnes of wheat.
